Anger Management for Rage

Anger Management for Rage
Some people are as addicted to anger and rage as others are to alcohol. Anger is a normal human emotion. It can be caused by anything from a friend?s annoying behavior to worries about personal problems or memories of a troubling life event. Rageaholics react to strong emotions, such as feelings of fear, sadness, shame, inadequacy, guilt or loss with rage. Raging gives the rageaholic a feeling of power. This is usually caused by the rageaholic stuffing back real feelings and emotions until it builds up the point that the rage-aholic snaps and goes crazy. Stress of any kind can be a trigger. The signs of addictive diseases are self-stimulation, compulsion, obsession, denial, withdrawal and craving syndrome and unpredictable behavior.

When handled in a positive way, anger can help people stand up for themselves and fight injustices. On the other hand, anger can lead to violence and injury when not addressed positively. Anger is an emotional state that can range from mild irritation to intense fury and rage. Feelings of anger actually produce physical changes in the body such as increased heart rate, blood pressure, and adrenaline.
