Nurses are stressed out and angry. There are many reasons for this anger. There is now a shortage of trained nurses. Consequently, nurses are overworked, under appreciated, treated unfairly and frequently burned out. All of these situations can result in feelings of anger and hurt. Anger on the part of nurses is sometime justifiable. However, anger is destructive when it is too intense, too prolonged, is harmful to ourselves or others, occurs too frequently, destroys work or personal relationships or leads to person or property directed aggression. |
